DuplicateIt on CD

Duplication is the process of burning optical media (in this case CDR's) from a source file to a blank disc, much the same as you might do at home on your PC.  There are some significant differences though in our processes that are important to your data integrity .  This is why you will find some companies who will recommend that you don't duplicate discs at all because their only experience is home-style domestic process that often leave you with more "coasters" then usable discs.

Fast and Reliable

Our DuplicateIt services have a daily capacity of over 3000+ discs per day.  This is important if you have that upcoming product launch or looming deadline that demands the product be available.

As a general guide here are some of the turnarounds that you can expect:

  0-500 500+
Disc Only 1-2 days 2-3 days
Disc +print and pack 2-3 days 3-4 days

Lets us know your needs and we will always try to accommodate your delivery time frames - and yes - sometimes same day delivery is possible!

Quality Control

The quality of a duplicated disc is actually not measured by whether the disc plays or not.  It is measured by using some sophisticated equipment that measures the type and frequency of errors that created during the playback of the disc.

So here is the secret of creating discs that will playback everywhere that they are used in compatible playback devices.  You must burn a disc in such a way to ensure that these errors (and all discs have them - even "perfect" ones) stay within the acceptable margins as defined by Sony/Philips.

To do this you need to be able to measure these errors and understand the variables that impact on disc quality. Then through a continuous process of testing, measurement and adjustment you ensure 100% playback of your recorded discs.

DuplicateIt has invested in the equipment and processes to be able to guarantee you 100% of your recordable media to give you piece of mind that your discs will work in the market place.

Print Options

At DuplicateIt we use 2 main processes to print your duplicated CDs.

High resolution inkjet technology that achieves a resolution of 2400dpi to give photo-realistic results.  When combined with our Gloss UV coating applied as a second separate process, your discs are sealed and protected with a gloss mirror finish.

Thermal technology once considered to be the ultimate in disc printing, is also available, but although the process delivers a exceptional result without the need for Gloss UV coating, it is more expensive than the inkjet processes that arguably produce a better result.

The other import part of the printing process is the disc itself - or more importantly the disc surface.  We use a top 3 professional brand name discs for our duplication.  SKC, Taiyo Yuden and Verbatim.  Each disc has a slightly different disc surface that can produce a different result.  We will choose the disc surface that best suits your disc image.
